Family Tree Research

Family Tree Study

A family tree study is the best and most comprehensive way to start any new family tree. There are many ways to approach this research, all of which are directed by the client.

Some options are: Research a single ancestor or couple, chart a set number of generations, follow a surname back in time, and more. Research will include historical documents offer an in-depth investigation into what the lives of your ancestors were like set against the social history at the time.

All research is done at an hourly rate and follows an agreed upon project scope. A free 15 minute research session is offered before starting any new project to "test the waters" and make sure enough genealogical information is available for the project.

Any additional historical documents of interest will be provided in digital format at the end of the family tree study. These documents may include photos, historical and modern newspaper clippings, grave site photos, and more.

Optional Add-on Services:

Your family tree study will include several graphical representations of your family tree, such as: Pedigree charts, individual ancestor reports, descendant / ahnentafel reports, and family group sheets. Files will be delivered digitally, but may be printed and shipped for extra fees and postage.

Document & Photo Scanning

Media can be scanned and added to your digital family tree. This may include profile photos for your ancestors and historical documents.

Library and Repository Documents

Occasionally, certain vital records can only be found in physical libraries or repositories. When these documents are critical to completing a family tree or solving a brick wall, they can be attained by an archive request. This will require a small document fee from the repository.
